Instead of being in our “workshop”, the Covergalls team was on the floor at @pdac_official one of the world’s largest mining conferences.

Proud to represent Northern innovation as part of the @miningshowcase, connect with industry leaders, and partner with TeamSynerG Global Consulting at our booth to spark an important conversation:
“Is your safety strategy accountable for whole-person protection?”

We also finally met Chris Cole from @skillsontario in person, welcomed @jamiewestndp and Mayor @michelleboileau.timmins to the booth, connected with Makana Masks, and celebrated @paulamineria winner of a sustainable Covergalls pack featuring our high-vis shirt + up-cycled eco rock pouch.

International Women’s Day 2026: Give to Gain. At Covergalls, we believe that when we invest in women, we all gain.

Across mining, construction, energy, utilities, and trades, women continue to push boundaries, challenge standards, and help shape the future of industry. But many of the systems, equipment, and regulations they work within were originally designed without them in mind. That’s part of why #Covergalls exists.

But this movement goes far beyond clothing. It’s about visibility. It’s about representation. It’s about creating space for the next generation of women to see themselves in these industries.

This week at Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), and every day across the sectors we serve, we continue to be inspired by the women and allies who are using their voices to drive change.

Her mining journey began in 2021 at @norcatglobal Underground Centre in Onaping, ON, an opportunity that changed her life. From supporting students and industry partners, to roles with IAMGold (Côté Gold) and DMC Mining, Jacqueline continued to grow her skills and confidence in the field.

After connecting with @sofvie.inc at #PDAC, she found the perfect fit and now serves as an Account Executive supporting practical, frontline-focused #healthandsafety solutions for mining teams. She’s also active with @wim_sudbury and Ontario Mine Contractors Safety Association (OMCSA) and never says no to pulling on her #Covergalls and getting a little dirt on her boots.

Today we recognize the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and the many career paths that science opens within industries like mining, engineering, environmental programs, safety, and operations. Science in our world doesn’t only happen in labs.

It happens in the field. On site. In hard hats and high-vis. It looks like this.

Women are shaping innovation every day; in geology, metallurgy, environmental stewardship, technology, and infrastructure. And while progress has been made, creating real equity in these fields requires continued visibility, access, and support.

At Covergalls, we believe belonging isn’t a trend, it’s foundational. When women step into science-driven industries, they deserve to feel equipped, capable, and confident from day one.

This week’s Workshop Wednesday is about backing yourself before the path is fully clear. From early exposure to manufacturing to building a hands-on career in diesel mechanics, @the_mechanchick journey reflects the confidence it takes to step outside the expected route and grow through real, challenging work. Proof that confidence and capability are built through doing the work. 💪⚙️

“My love for the trade started back in high school, where I found a passion for manufacturing and earned my Red Seal. For a long time, I thought my future would be in a classroom, teaching high school manufacturing and shaping the next generation.

Until a Co-op working in my current shop showed me what I was truly capable of. I walked away from the “safe” plan and chose diesel mechanics instead a path that challenged me, pushed me, and forced me to grow every single day.

Now I work in fleet maintenance, where the work ranges from basic services to full engine rebuilds. Some days are dirty, hard, and frustrating but those are the days that prove what I’m made of. Engine work is where I thrive. Taking something broken, tearing it down, understanding it, and bringing it back to life is a feeling that never gets old.

If you’re on the fence, doubting yourself, or thinking you don’t belong in the trades this is your sign. You don’t need permission. You just need the courage to start.”
