Covergalls is thrilled to announce we are attending PDAC 2024, taking place this year from March 3rd to 6th. Representing us is our CEO and Founder Alicia Woods, who has a packed schedule this year and various appearances lined up to engage with the mining community, and Amelie Mongrain, our amazing Director of Design, Quality and Production.
Throwback to PDAC 2023 - happy to be back!
What's on the Agenda?
On Sunday March 3rd, Alicia will be participating in Central America and The Caribbean Day hosted by Women in Mining (WIM) Central America. The event promises to open dialogue in the mining industry on a wealth of topics, including insights on sustainable mining practices and innovation, responsible investment opportunities and strategies, and how to foster long-term community engagement.
Rick Rule, Mark Cutifani, Randy Smallwood and others mining leaders will be speaking at the event and it will be a chance to connect with policymakers, experts and hear about "Mujeres de Oro," the amazing women leaving a mark in Central America and Caribbean mining.
There are only a few ticket are left, so if you are attending PDAC check out their registration page below:
Date: Sunday, 3rd March

The next day you can catch Alicia at the Femina Collective dinner, which will be a fantastic opportunity to connect with both the members, and non-members, of the collective. It's a chance to share experiences, insights, and build relationships within the mining community.
More Exciting Sessions Ahead!
It's always so hard to pick what sessions to attend at PDAC and, for Alicia, Tuesday's schedule promises to be especially packed.
On March 6th Alicia will be participating in Vale's round table discussion, From Intention to Action!, offering her expertise and insights on how we can advance DE&I in the mining industry. The roundtable will feature case studies/best practice shares covering the following critical themes:
•Inclusive Design of Workplaces, Facilities, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
•Development and Training Opportunities for Diverse Talent
•Fostering Respect in the Workplace
•Attraction and Retention of Women/Indigenous People in Mining
•Enhancing Supply Chain Diversity
Unfortunately it's too late to RSVP but we promise to share our thoughts post-PDAC.
You can also find Alicia on Tuesday morning at 11:30am in Room 203D, listening to a panel discussion with Audrey Hlembizky, who will be providing valuable perspectives on building trust and employee speak-up cultures in remote locations. In the evening at 6 p.m., Alicia will be speaking at the launch of IVEY Group's exciting new initiative at the Wine Academy in Toronto. The impact this initiative will have on women in trades and the mining community is super cool (and make sure to stay tuned to our site for future exclusive insight and details!).
As Tuesday ends, catch Alicia at the Sudbury Mining Cluster Reception. The evening reception will be yet another great networking opportunity with industry professionals and a final chance to reflect with other attendees after a busy couple days.
The number of announcements, presenters, and programs at PDAC in 2024 is extraordinary. We definitely recommend saving a copy, or bookmarking, the Schedule at a Glance for a full list of daily programming.
