Women On Site was created by four women working in construction who realized that there is a need for a community outside of work.

Women On Site (WOS) is a community for women and underrepresented people in the trades, construction, manufacturing, and STEM industries within Ontario. WOS creates and hosts experiences for the purpose of connection outside of work to help reduce loneliness experienced through underrepresentation in these industries and ensure the retention of women and underrepresented people in their chosen careers.

WOS was created by four women working in construction who realized that there is a need for a community outside of work. Constanza, an Environmental Technician, Darci, an Electrical Apprentice, Samara, a Red Seal Sheet Metal worker, and Tessa, Red Seal Bricklayer are the founders of Women on Site.

In March, WOS will be kickstarting monthly meetups across Ontario, and what better day than International Women's Day! On March 8th, 2023 join WOS members across Ontario to celebrate.

These events are drop in style (however it's preferred if you can RSVP to ensure WOS hosts can accommodate). Covergalls will be attending Women On Site Toronto for their first monthly meetup located at Eastbound Brewery, a local women-owned and operated business. There are four other locations please view which location works best for you.

“We're really hoping to highlight our IWD events coming up on March 8th. We're hosting 5 drop-in events in 5 different cities - Toronto, Whitby, Barrie, Kitchener, and Ottawa. This will be the first of our monthly drop-in events that we're hoping will create communities among women living around Ontario”. - Constanza Maass, WOS Director of Events and Strategy.

WOS hopes to continue to grow and create safe, welcoming, and fun spaces for women and underrepresented people in the construction industry. Together, we can build a more inclusive workspace!
